Open a book in your browser by clicking its link, or search using books.google.com.

3.Open Google Drive in your internet browser.

Enter drive.google.com in your browser’s address bar. Next, press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard. If you’re not logged in automatically, click the “Go to Google Drive” button and sign in with your Google account.

4.Click the + New button.

This button, found in the upper-left corner of your Google Drive library, lets you upload a new file or folder to your cloud. A drop-down menu will display your options.

5.Click File upload on the menu.

Choosing this option opens a new pop-up window, enabling you to select a file to upload from your computer to Google Drive.

6.Upload your book screenshot.

Pick your screenshot image in the file navigator window, then click “Open” to upload it to your Google Drive.

7.Right-click your book screenshot in your Drive library.

This displays your right-click options in a drop-down menu within Google Drive.

8.Hover over Open with on the right-click menu.

A sub-menu will appear, listing available Google apps for use.

9.Select Google Docs on the Open with menu.

This opens your screenshot in a new Google Docs document, where it automatically detects and copies all text from the screenshot to the bottom as editable content.

10.Select the text you want to copy at the bottom of the document.

Locate the copied book text at the bottom of your Google Docs document. Click and drag your cursor over the desired text to highlight it in blue.

11.Right-click the selected text.

Your right-click options will appear in a drop-down menu within Google Docs.

12.Select Copy on the right-click menu.

Choosing “copy” will transfer the selected text to your clipboard in Google Docs. Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut ⌘ Command+C on Mac or Control+C on Windows to copy.

13.Right-click where you want to paste.

Your right-click options will pop up in Google Docs.

14.Select Paste on the right-click menu.

Choosing “paste” will insert the copied book text here in Google Docs. For a shortcut, press ⌘ Command+V on Mac or Control+V on Windows to paste.
